Village of Brooks Parent Group (VOB)

Village of Brooks Parent Group (VOB) is a parent-led Illinois 501(c)(3) organization committed to strengthening the Brooks community through fundraising, engagement, and advocacy that directly benefit our current students and the staff who serve them. Our goal is to support the students, families, faculty, and administration of Gwendolyn Brooks College Preparatory Academy, in keeping with the mission set forth in our Bylaws. We achieve this by working together to strengthen the Brooks experience for every student because it truly takes a village.
All Brooks families are welcome, however much time you have to give. Get involved by attending a meeting, volunteering at an event, supporting a fundraiser, sharing an idea, or simply staying connected. No dues or ongoing commitment required.

Is VOB part of the school administration?
No. VOB is a parent-led nonprofit that partners with Brooks. It doesn't set school policy or manage school operations.

Do I have to pay dues or volunteer to be involved?
No. All Brooks families are welcome to attend and participate at whatever level works for them.

Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes. Village of Brooks Parent Group (VOB) is a registered Illinois 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
