Every year, students in Ms. Zayed's Engineering Design class partner up with Illinois Science and Technology Institution staff and Lenovo / Motorola engineers to design innovative apps that can improve their users' lives.
Through the STEM Challenge program, students work with mentors to develop customized, interdisciplinary challenges that reflect current priorities or pressing industry needs. Students apply classroom learning to investigate, develop, and refine solutions, which they ultimately present back to ISTI and Motorola.
Through out the process, students and mentors connect both in person and virtually using our Mentor Matching Engine. During the Share Out students are invited to Motorola to share their solutions and are given an educational tour of the facility.
