Eric Brown, a senior in Studio Drawing and Painting, Alana Lewis and Christopher Lopez, freshmen in Art I, all had art selected and shown in the All City Art Exhibition that was on display last month at EXPO 75. Eric’s painting is a very expressive monochromatic self-portrait in acrylic that beautifully captures him in a pensive mood. Christopher and Alana both created self portraits in pencil that masterfully captured their spirits of playfulness and joy.
The All City Art Exhibition is an annual celebration of the work of the best student artists in the Chicago Public Schools. All schools may submit up to 15 pieces per teacher after which, the work is rigorously judged and selected by impartial professionals in all areas of the arts. As a result, it is quite an honor for a student and their school to be included in the show. Ms. Boone is the proud teacher of all three students who represented Brooks in spectacular fashion!
