On March 8th, Brooks Beginning Band students were invited to perform at the Beginning Band Symposium held at Kelly High School. 15 students were selected from 7 CPS High Schools. The students that represented Brooks College Prep were Layla Conway, Laila Smith, Arielle Mosley, Camila Felipe, Brooklyn Hazzard, Diane Sanchez, Diego Rocha, Daniel Perez, Jaevion Southern, Joei Langford, Sydnie Wade, Khiana Harvey, Queontae Seay, Khloe London, and Kristian Johnson. They had the opportunity of performing together under the mentorship of professors and college students from VanderCook College of Music. We are proud of the way they represented Brooks and what it means to be a music student there.
