Brooks' Band Plays at Veterans Day Event at Roseland Hospital »
Brook's Marching Band partnered with Roseland Community Hospital to honor our Veterans at the Roseland Rocks! Veterans Day Celebration. The parade began at 111th and King Drive and proceeded west to the hospital where there was food, healthcare services, and music compliments of Brooks' marching band. Ms. Loretta Flanagan, Executive Director of the Roseland Community Hospital Foundation and event organizer had this to say:
Whenever people point to the violence on the city streets and in particular Roseland and neighboring communities, I will now and in the future point to the wonderful young people that led our parade on today, shook hands with our Veterans from the Vietnam and Korean Wars and clapped for Roseland Hospital's Voices of Healing. They were orderly, respectful and especially talented with their band playing and Pledge of Allegiance and musical selections.
This is yet another example of our students' living out the Be's of Brooks. Be socially conscious. Be healthy. BE BROOKS!
