Brooks Day of Service - South Shore Cleanup »
Divisions 308 and 306 along with 13 special education students from Ms. Singleton's Room traveled to South Shore beach to work with the Alliance For The Great Lakes. Students needed to pick-up trash along the lake and keep data on all the things they picked up. Additionally, students tracked wind conditions, water temperature, longshore currents, bateria levels, and specie tracking. We collected over 100 pounds of debris and are ready to upload the data to help maintain clean drinking water...The Great Lakes provide over 95% of our freshwater.
